Beast Boy
Powers: Ability to change into any animal, living or extinct
Alignment: Hero
Background
This green Titan can take on the form of just about any animal, whether alive, long extinct, or thought to be legendary. Beast Boy is like the wild card of the group, able to turn into the best animal form suited for the job, whether it be taking down a horde of Slade's minons or cheering up a friend.
In Season 2, Beast Boy felt he had found a kindred spirit in Terra, a former Titan who was found out to be a spy for the team's arch nemesis Slade. In the end, both renewed their understanding of each other and parted ways. Only time will tell what effect this has on Beast Boy.
In the two-part "Homecoming", we find alot more about Beast Boy than the Titans expected. Before he became a Teen Titan, Beast Boy as a child was taken in by the superhero team Doom Patrol. During his stay with the DP, he wore a mask that nearly covered his entire head, and was the eager child of the bunch. Unfortunately, he was seen by DP leader Mento as merely an asset that would disobey orders, after Beast Boy put the safety of friends higher than capturing the bad guys as Mento instructed.
After reuniting with his fellow Doom Patrol members, he finally makes a stand and shows them that he has grown into an independant individual and superhero in his own right. He also shows Mento that there are sometimes better ways of achieving a goal than tackling it head on.
Personality
Beast Boy's defining trait within the Titans' group dynamic is his sense of humor and eagerness to please and entertain. When the others are down, BB can be depended on to lift the group's spirits with his jokes and upbeat demeanor, effectively getting the rest to kick back and enjoy life when they can. Sometimes his practical jokes can go too far, forcing him to put things into perspective. It is also possible that his constant joking and prank-pulling is a plea for attention.
